A MESSAGE FROM MILLS FOSTER,
Property Valuation Administrator
I have had the pleasure to serve the people of Christian County as Property Valuation Administrator since 1993.
Since becoming PVA, I have attended and completed educational classes set forth by the Revenue Cabinet in order to receive the designation of Senior Kentucky Assessor. I became a member of the International Association of Assessing Offices (IAAO) in 1994. I was a founding member of the Kentucky Chapter of IAAO, which was presented the Outstanding Chapter Award for a small jurisdiction for the year 2000. I served on the Designation Committee for the KY Chapter of IAAO from 1997-2001. I received a degree in Government from Western Kentucky University in 1992. I am also a member of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club.
Our staff continues to make concentrated efforts to improve every aspect of the PVA office. Recently, our office undertook the task of installing a new GIS System that will further enhance the way information concerning property will be linked to digitized mapping throughout the entire county. This project will provide the public another means to seek information regarding property within Christian County. Lately, we have focused our attention on the need for a website so that visitors may learn more about our office, its functions, requirements from the state and the general information regarding property taxation. We have also added a second public access terminal in the office for the convenience of our customers.
Our main objective is to serve the citizens of Christian County. We encourage you to browse through the website and to stop by and visit our office. |
